A Beautiful Day!

The kids and I were so busy running around (and shopping, ok...) last week and this weekend that I decided we needed a quiet day at home today - after this morning's karate class, of course.Parker earned his white belt. SO CUTE!


But the rest of the day was spend at home. (With a quick run to school while Sophie napped)
We had a "Backyard Picnic",


Some coffee; skim milk, three splenda, thank you.

The kids pretend this tree is Dunkins (love it!). Parker knows how I take my java!
And some imaginative play - this is a boat...see the broom sail?!?! It later became a monster...

Here's to another quiet day tomorrow!

Parker had his own lunch but insisted on eating my noodles...love the slurping!

Sohpie is finally eating "real" food. She loves bananas and peaches! I know she looks a little stunned in this picture, but she really does like it! She tried to feed her self, but, as you can see in the next picture, she didn't have much luck!

If Parker wakes up kinda cranky (yes, it does happen!) Sophie can cheer him up without a problem! But he still needs his belly!?! She gets so excited to lay with him, too!They LOVE to cuddle together - it's really very sweet!

Nicole and I surprised the kids with tickets to the Laurie Berkner Band. At this point, watching for the train, they had no idea where we were going. This was our present to Parker for his birthday! He enjoyed the first few songs of the concert, but wanted to get right back on the train! He had so much fun staring out the window! His eyes went kind of crazy trying to watch the trees go by - it was really funny!
