Merry Christmas!
What a great Christmas!! It started on Sunday night with a visit from Maddie and Auntie. They brought over dinner and some great presents!
Christmas Eve we went to my Aunt Harriet and Uncle David's house. They have a beautifully decorated living room that was just right for some nice Christmas photos.
When we got home, Parker sprinkled his reindeer food on the front lawn and left the cookies for Santa by the fireplace. The next morning, there was a note from Santa, but no cookies left!
Christmas Day was busy! Grammy, Grampy, Uncle Adam and Auntie Stefanie came over early and made us breakfast - we're so spoiled! Then we opened gifts. Parker was so cute. The first thing he asked when he woke up was if Santa was here! Precious. There was lots of good stuff!
I especially love the pirate outfit from Auntie Stefanie and Uncle Adam!
Sophie is just like me and likes to try on her new digs immediately!
Parker and Sophie got portable dvd players from Grammy and Grampy! I swore I'd never use one in the car, but they are great! The kids loved it!
After gifts with the fam, we headed to the fire station. Unfortunately, Todd had to work today, but we had a great lunch with the crew!
Later, Mem and Pep came over (PICTURES TO POSTED LATER!)

Caught in the Act and Creativity
The other day, Parker and Maddie were in the mudroom - not making any noise. When they are quiet, I get suspicious...and here's what I found.

Parker has had these block for a long time (thanks to UA and AS!) and has always built towers with them. But, the other day, he saw this picture on the side -
And without looking, he built his own! I thought he did a pretty good job!

Big Boy Bed!!!!
Parker woke up at 3:30 this morning, calling for us. Todd went in to see what the problem was and found Parker curled up with his pillow and blanket, under his crib! When Todd asked Parker why he was under his crib, Parker replied that he was cold. We had Parker sleeping on his mattress, on the floor, to practice for a big boy bed. The mattress was against an exterior wall. Apparently, it was too cold against that wall! Todd and I decided that maybe it was time to convert his crib in to a big boy bed! Parker was so excited! Hopefully we'll have no issues with falling out! We'll just make sure we tuck his blankets in so tight he can't get out in the morning - like Maddie's first night in her big girl bed!
I hate hearing my voice!
He's so proud of being a big boy! If only we could keep him a little boy! =(

SNOW DAY!
Today was our first school snow day! Yippie! It was a nice, relaxing, play in the snow day! Todd was psyched because he got to play with his new toy (yes, another new toy - but who I am to comment, I DID just buy another new coat - but it's a gorgeous coat! hehe).
Parker was psyched to go out and play! You can see him here, watching Todd, just waiting for him to be finished and take him outside!
Sophie wanted to know what the big deal was!
Shortly after the previous picture, Parker had had enough waiting, and decided to get himself ready to go! He really did get his snowsuit on all by himself too!
Finally, he got to go out!
I'm not sure who had more fun tho - here is Todd, about 15 minutes AFTER Parker came in, putting the finishing touches on their snow fort/dog house! I thought they did a pretty good job! FUN!

Harley
Parker modeled his Harley jacket for everyone. He then ran around the house pretending to be driving a Harley. He made everyone follow him at some point. Here's Grampy Billy being a good sport!
Brendan Visits
Brendan stopped by today and helped Parker decorate the driveway for Grammy's birthday!

Parker had his own lunch but insisted on eating my noodles...love the slurping!

Sohpie is finally eating "real" food. She loves bananas and peaches! I know she looks a little stunned in this picture, but she really does like it! She tried to feed her self, but, as you can see in the next picture, she didn't have much luck!

If Parker wakes up kinda cranky (yes, it does happen!) Sophie can cheer him up without a problem! But he still needs his belly!?! She gets so excited to lay with him, too!They LOVE to cuddle together - it's really very sweet!
More cuddling - in the condo in the lovely basement that Grampy finished! We do miss that playroom but not the couch - sorry Grammy!

Waiting for the train
Nicole and I surprised the kids with tickets to the Laurie Berkner Band. At this point, watching for the train, they had no idea where we were going. This was our present to Parker for his birthday! He enjoyed the first few songs of the concert, but wanted to get right back on the train! He had so much fun staring out the window! His eyes went kind of crazy trying to watch the trees go by - it was really funny!
