Sophie Turns 2 - Tomorrow!

Today we celebrated Sophia's 2nd birthday. She's the princess so we went with that theme... here are some of the highlights, in no particular order...


Blowing out the candles...We had to re-light the candles and sing again because Parker missed it and he was very upset!

Big Girl Undies!

I was convinced that Sophie would be potty trained by the time she was two...well her birthday is tomorrow and she used the potty three times the other day... here she is in her big-girl undies! So proud!


So, she's far from potty trained, obviously, but we're off to a good start!

Reunion

Megan, who lives in Florida now, is home for a visit so we got together for an impromptu playdate/dinner. It was great to see her and her hubby, Matt, and their three-year old son, Connor. Deanne, a friend from town/high school, stopped by too. The kids all got along great!

Happy Halloween (a day late)

The first house we trick-or-treated at was the MacDougal's and Sophie was terrified! She cried, fell and then clung to my mom for dear life! We then went to Toby and Petra's to trick-or-treat in their neighborhood while Todd and Toby passed out glow necklaces for the fire department. Soso was afraid of EVERY house for the first hour...eventually she did get the hang of it just to be terrified by a scary man that she is STILL talking about!

Parker Earned His Yellow Belt!

Today was Little Ninja Move-Up day and Parker earned his yellow belt! It was quite the ceremony with pizza to boot! Parker was so proud!

If Parker wakes up kinda cranky (yes, it does happen!) Sophie can cheer him up without a problem! But he still needs his belly!?! She gets so excited to lay with him, too!They LOVE to cuddle together - it's really very sweet!

Nicole and I surprised the kids with tickets to the Laurie Berkner Band. At this point, watching for the train, they had no idea where we were going. This was our present to Parker for his birthday! He enjoyed the first few songs of the concert, but wanted to get right back on the train! He had so much fun staring out the window! His eyes went kind of crazy trying to watch the trees go by - it was really funny!
