Stolen Moments
So, today was D day - the first day of school - for teachers anyway. I survived, but it stunk! First of all, I am so used to sleeping until 8:30 that getting up at 5:30 was practically torture! But worse than that was the fact that I had to be away from my kids ALL day! (Not to mention just how AWFUL our presentations were today - oh man!) Thankfully I didn't have to get the kids up and out of the house because Mem came over to watch them. I didn't have a lot of time to take pictures, so I stole some from her camera - stolen moments from today!

It doesn't get ANY SWEETER than this!
And I'm pretty sure Sophie is going to be a class clown...check out the look on her face!

And she's a natural shopper, just like Mumma!

I figured out the video! This was taken the other day and is just hysterical! I was inside the tent and she was on the other side...you can hear me cracking up!

Play Ball!
I only have two pictures to post tonight and both were taken with my phone so they aren't great, but it was a cute moment I just had to capture! Sophie was enjoying chewing on the basketball when Parker tried to play catch. I love that he layed down across from her like this.
But, the game didn't last too long because Sophie refused to give up her chew toy!

Daddy had the day off!
Today was a nice day. In the afternoon, I brought Sophie to have her pictures taken again. This time it was for a "Diaper Days" contest that Sears does. For those of you who don't know, I entered Parker when he was 8 months and he actually won first place! I figured I better give Sophie a shot or someday she'd be upset! Anyway...this picture was taken just minutes before we left. Aren't they cute??
I figured since she was so tired she would be grumpy for her pictures, but as you can see, she did great today! She had so much fun,
especially when they pulled out the hat!

The next picture is the one I decided to submit to the contest. The choice was VERY difficult because they took 75 pictures!

For dinner we decided to try the FireHall Pub in Derry. It's an old fire station they converted into a resturant.

Grammy and Grampy joined us.

Parker was disappointed because he thought we were going to an actual fire station so, to make it up to him we stopped by the Derry station. The guys (and girls) were so nice and gave us a tour and let Parker sit in the trucks. He was psyched!

When we got home, Sophie entertained us with her new trick - playing peek-a-boo. She actually puts the blanket over her head, waits a second or two, then pulls it down and giggles! It's so cute!

Dinner is Served
Today I got my haircut - as you can see over to the right, but that's not what this post is about. But, Auntie came over to watch the kids while I was gone, so we asked her to stay for dinner.
We also played hairdresser and makeup artist...
Sophie had her hair done

And Parker did my makeup!
Can you see the eye shadow all over my cheek? I look like I was playing in the dirt! He was so serious tho! Too cute.

Lovely Day
By the way...yes, that IS Nicole hanging up-side-down on the swing! Maddie is psyched about it!
I actually gave Sophie a WHOLE Ritz cracker today. Even though it looks like she is giving it back to me, she did enjoy it!
And no, she didn't shove the whole thing in her mouth like I would!
After Parker got up from nap we got dressed and went to Grammy and Grampy's for dinner. He insisted on wearing his pj's! While I was loading up the van with our stuff (there's so much "stuff" when you have kids) and Sophie, he decided to sit on the porch and read his book! Precious. Of course, he could've offered to help, but NOOOO!
Yummy pasta and corn.
Where's Grampy you ask....make your guess in the new poll...
Precious Pics
I LOVE this picture of Parker and me. I love that he's looking at me!
Sophie, trying to give her cracker away again!

Ah, there's Grampy.

And this one is from our day trip up north. If you click on the picture, you can enlarge it, and you'll see the huge smiles on both their faces!

Pee Pee Chart, Hair Do, and Lafayette
Go Parker!

Parker did it! He got FIVE stickers on his "Potty Chart" which meant he got to pick out a prize! I took him to the mall and let him pick something from AC MOORE. Initially he said he wanted a dinosaur. Here he is trying to make a decision.
He ended up picking out this velvet, tiger coloring thing and a package of markers!
And for an added treat, I let him ride "Thomas". After about thirty seconds, he said he wanted to get off! I don't think he's ready for Disney after all!
YEAH PARKER!
On Thursday, while Parker was sleeping, Maddie and I played "hair salon". As you can see, there is no hope for my hair, no matter who is styling it!
OUCH! She's not very gentle!
According to Maddie, I look just like Ariel...um, not so sure about that one!
Friday, We went with Grammy and Grampy up to the White Mountains to see Uncle Adam and Auntie Stefanie. They were camping at Lafayette Campground. It was a beautiful day so we decided to go on a hike to the Basin.
I guess Sophie didn't want her picture taken.
He spent most of his time playing trucks with Stefanie and
throwing rocks into the water with Adam!
Poor Todd had to work...he missed all the fun!

Auntie Jessie Strikes Again!
Today we headed to Portsmouth to the children's museum with Auntie Jessie, RJ, Abby, and Maddie. It turned out to be a great time, but started off a bit rocky. Todd got into a fight as soon as we got out of the car! Some guy, who clearly was having a really bad morning, threatened to "Put a hammer through our windshield" if Todd scratched his precious pickup truck. You see, Todd walked between the wall of the museum and this guy's truck and Todd's really sharp (hehe) canvas backback rubbed against the truck! OH NO! Turns out the guy was a Portsmouth fire fighter - so much for brotherhood!
ANYWAY, despite that little mishap, the kids had a blast! There was so much to do, but by far, the kids like the boat on the bottom floor the best!
Here's Archaeologist Parker David looking for dinosaur bones!
After the "Museum Gym" (as Parker likes to call it) we went to a nearby park. We had a picnic lunch, although the boys didn't each much since there was a playground there.
Here's Parker working "Scoop".
Todd giving him a hand - sweet
And I just think this is a neat picture of Sophie. It'd be better without the pacifier, but oh well!

Parker and Soso doing the Charleston!
and Jon
Mackenzie joins the fun in the pool.
And Jon...well, he's having the most fun!!
but, WAIT, is that REALLY Parker getting wet?? Will he ACTUALLY go in the pool??
He's getting wetter and wetter!
Here's Brittany swimming!
He DID IT! Parker had SO much fun in the pool - thanks Grammy! Every time Todd tried to get him out Parker said no! He went right in in his clothes and regular diaper! Wait until you see the next picture! YEAH PARKER!
Swimmie (sp?) diapers are a must!
Anthony LaPlante is a real party animal!
I love that Grammy and Sophie are making the same face!
I was very happy that Gabe and Kate made it over! They are having a SUPER good time!
What a precious picture of Sophie and her Auntie!
Brittany and Parker - he loves her!
Mackenzie was trying to get Parker's attention!
Little Jon is trying very hard to teach Sophie how to "high five". She almost got it!
Mackenzie and Sophie - buds! Sophie got very excited every time Mackenzie came by!
Parker was trying to feed Mackenzie all day - BJ got a good picture of Parker "red handed!" I think he's actually trying to steal hers here!
Mackenzie wants that pacifier. Pay attention Sophie!
UM? need I say more?
Parker got new leggos from Mem. He was tired after a long day of partying so he sat here and played for quite a while before bedtime!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMMY! 7/06/07
Parker and Grammy were hiding behind the still unemptied boxes, then popped up and sang "Happy Birthday to You!".
Grampy Bill and Grammy Jane joined the fun!
Sophie wanted to sing to Grammy too, but this is all she managed!
Harley
Parker modeled his Harley jacket for everyone. He then ran around the house pretending to be driving a Harley. He made everyone follow him at some point. Here's Grampy Billy being a good sport!
Brendan Visits
Brendan stopped by today and helped Parker decorate the driveway for Grammy's birthday!
Parker is sharing his chalk with Drunkle B, how sweet!
I'm sure Grammy will LOVE the drawing of the jeep!
We had a busy day!
THE TARRS ARE IN THE HOUSE!!
The kids had a great time despite the rain! Here David is giving Parker a picture he colored for him! How Sweet!
Sarah poses with Sophie! Sarah is a great babysitter! She got Parker to eat much more of his PB&J than I ever can! I told her she should come over every day at lunch!
Is Thomas sleeping? or playing dead? Whatever he's doing, Maddie and Parker are quite entertained!
I think they are up to no good!
Is that Teresa with a coffee?? couldn't be! YA RIGHT! We love our coffee don't we! I can't be too sure what David is doing, but I'm guessing he's singing the "Monkeys"!
There's Nicole tucked away in the background with her foot up - poor thing!
Sophie can do tricks too!
Gee...I wonder where she gets it?? Yes Nicole, her eyes are squinty too...haha!
PARKER AND SOPHIE ENJOY LUNCH TOGETHER!
7/5/07
Parker had his own lunch but insisted on eating my noodles...love the slurping!
Now, he's shoveling it in!
Sohpie is finally eating "real" food. She loves bananas and peaches! I know she looks a little stunned in this picture, but she really does like it! She tried to feed her self, but, as you can see in the next picture, she didn't have much luck!
Um, it's upside down!
Haha, I'm so funny!
How precious!
Sohpie was refusing to finish the peaches until Parker came along. He was so cute feeding her and she polished off the jar for him!
She's even eating from an empty spoon!
Lunch on the Front Porch
Parker and Maddie enjoying peanut butter and jelly on the new front porch! Doesn't Maddie look thrilled?!?!
Shifty eyed
I think this picture of Parker is too funny! It shows his suspicious side!
We Love Grammy!
What could be better than piling on top of grammy?
Sophie
This is a picture of Sophie on the fourth of July! You can't really see the precious dress with the stars on the front but check out those eyes! And those big rosey cheeks! She's wearing her hair in a ponytail for the first time too!
Cowboy Parker
Here is Parker on the Fourth too. He loves Grampy's "Cowboy Hat"! Wish I was doing something a bit more exciting in the background!
Cuddling!
If Parker wakes up kinda cranky (yes, it does happen!) Sophie can cheer him up without a problem! But he still needs his belly!?! She gets so excited to lay with him, too! They LOVE to cuddle together - it's really very sweet!
More cuddling - in the condo in the lovely basement that Grampy finished! We do miss that playroom but not the couch - sorry Grammy!
Sophie and Mommy
Alright, so I took this picture myself!
Bob the Builder
This is a picture of some of the decorations from Parker's 2nd birthday!
YUMMY
Maddie and Parker enjoying some birthday cake! Notice Maddie is wearing a sweater - it wasn't a very warm April day!
Waiting for the train
Nicole and I surprised the kids with tickets to the Laurie Berkner Band. At this point, watching for the train, they had no idea where we were going. This was our present to Parker for his birthday! He enjoyed the first few songs of the concert, but wanted to get right back on the train! He had so much fun staring out the window! His eyes went kind of crazy trying to watch the trees go by - it was really funny!
Laurie Berkner
Here's a picture on the train, minutes before Parker realized he could get up and walk around! Oh boy!
