A VERY Bumpy Day

It has been a very bumpy day in the Berube household today. Let's start with Todd: During a fire call for a dryer fire, he turned his ankle and ended up in the emergency room. He arrived in style, via ambulance! Luckily nothing was broken but he does have a nasty sprain and is in an air cast. He's not able to work for at least a week or so. He's being very independent and not asking for too much, but that means he's not elevating enough either!

Then there's Parker: Oh man, he had the worst bumpy day ever! First, he fell going up the stairs and bumped his chin. It was bleeding and upon first glance Todd thought he might need stitches...thankfully we didn't have to go BACK to the E.R. tonight! It eventually stopped bleeding but Parker refused to wear a band aid. He was so upset about it he was shaking! I even gave him 3 band aids and a green marker for him to decorate one for himself and one for Todd and me. Todd and I wore ours, but Parker just couldn't do it! Later, I asked him to get his pjs out and he crushed his fingers in the drawer, then he bumped his head trying to pick up Sophie's toy, then he tripped over his stool, stubbed his toe and fell! He promptly went to bed! Poor Parker! Did I mention that he's been sick for the last few days?!? Yup! Throwing up everything he ate or drank!

I am looking forward to starting over tomorrow!
