July 4th Weekend

Uncle Adam and Auntie Stefanie came up for the Fourth. We had a great weekend of cook outs, playing, touring Newburyport and watching the fireworks!

We stopped off a cool park where Parker tried out the zip-line...

He liked it.

And Sophie climbed the big rock...

Can you spot the dragon that Parker found in the trees? When the wind blew, it looked like the dragon was opening and closing his mouth! Great observation, if you ask me!

I think Sophie is waiting for mail from Kyedn (or maybe Justin...)!



First of all, I love how my kids are holding hands in this picture.

and secondly, how Parker thinks he's going to steal Soso's ice treat in this one!
I think she was hiding her treat under there!

Parker had his own lunch but insisted on eating my noodles...love the slurping!

Sohpie is finally eating "real" food. She loves bananas and peaches! I know she looks a little stunned in this picture, but she really does like it! She tried to feed her self, but, as you can see in the next picture, she didn't have much luck!

If Parker wakes up kinda cranky (yes, it does happen!) Sophie can cheer him up without a problem! But he still needs his belly!?! She gets so excited to lay with him, too!They LOVE to cuddle together - it's really very sweet!

Nicole and I surprised the kids with tickets to the Laurie Berkner Band. At this point, watching for the train, they had no idea where we were going. This was our present to Parker for his birthday! He enjoyed the first few songs of the concert, but wanted to get right back on the train! He had so much fun staring out the window! His eyes went kind of crazy trying to watch the trees go by - it was really funny!
