Best Buds Day Out
Today, Jess and I took the kids to the Massabesic Audobon Society in Auburn. The kids got to see frogs, snakes, turtles, an owl, some stuffed deer (or were they cows?) and many stuffed birds - or chickens, as Abby called them. It was really hot, which was too bad because there was a nice nature walk to the lake that we just couldn't handle in the heat. Instead, we drove over to the lake and let the kids throw rocks into the water. I, of course, forgot my camera - errr. I took these pictures with my cell phone. Check out Jess' blog for some better pictures- she's a good mom and brought her camera!

Parker and Grammy were hiding behind the still unemptied boxes, then popped up and sang "Happy Birthday to You!".
Grampy Bill and Grammy Jane joined the fun!
Sophie wanted to sing to Grammy too, but this is all she managed!
Harley
Parker modeled his Harley jacket for everyone. He then ran around the house pretending to be driving a Harley. He made everyone follow him at some point. Here's Grampy Billy being a good sport!
Brendan Visits
Brendan stopped by today and helped Parker decorate the driveway for Grammy's birthday!

The kids had a great time despite the rain! Here David is giving Parker a picture he colored for him! How Sweet!

Parker had his own lunch but insisted on eating my noodles...love the slurping!
Now, he's shoveling it in!
Sohpie is finally eating "real" food. She loves bananas and peaches! I know she looks a little stunned in this picture, but she really does like it! She tried to feed her self, but, as you can see in the next picture, she didn't have much luck!

Cuddling!
If Parker wakes up kinda cranky (yes, it does happen!) Sophie can cheer him up without a problem! But he still needs his belly!?! She gets so excited to lay with him, too!They LOVE to cuddle together - it's really very sweet!
More cuddling - in the condo in the lovely basement that Grampy finished! We do miss that playroom but not the couch - sorry Grammy!

Waiting for the train
Nicole and I surprised the kids with tickets to the Laurie Berkner Band. At this point, watching for the train, they had no idea where we were going. This was our present to Parker for his birthday! He enjoyed the first few songs of the concert, but wanted to get right back on the train! He had so much fun staring out the window! His eyes went kind of crazy trying to watch the trees go by - it was really funny!
