Parker was in awe of the tall buildings and the number of taxis! In fact, he got so excited when he saw one that he yelled out, "TAXI" and actually made the cab driver stop! Adam had to tell him no! It was quite funny! He also received a taxi toy from Adam and Stefanie that he carried EVERYWHERE we went!
Since Adam still had his pass for NBC from a job he'd just finished, we were able to get a private, backstage tour of the building. It was very impressive. (More pictures further down..)
We went to the top of 30-Rock to see the view of the entire city - very cool, very crazy! The kids were getting tired at this point...
Here's what we got to see at NBC - The Saturday Night Live set,
and the Jimmy Fallon set!
Here's Todd and Parker riding the carousel in Bryant Park.
and Adam and Sophie.
A couple of blocks in Times Square are closed to traffic to accommodate the millions of people who visit NYC during the summer. Instead of cars, there are hundreds of lawn chairs set up for you to take a break! We set ours up in a circle and pretended we were having a camp fire.
I swear, she belongs here!
We also visited the biggest Toys-R-Us, ever! It comes complete with a Ferris wheel! Parker refused to ride, but Sophie had a blast!
And no visit to NYC would be complete (for Todd) without a visit to FDNY...
It was a GREAT trip and we will definitely go back! Thanks Adam and Stefanie!
