Well, as most of you know, we just experienced quite the ice storm!

We had no electricity for about three days - the good news was, we had no school either! Luckily my parents have great neighbors who gave them a generator so we packed up our things and stayed there for a few nights. It turned into a bit of a slumber party with Grammy Lindy

, Auntie

, and Maddie

joining the party. We made do with a crock-pot, coffee maker (thank god! When I first realized I couldn't make coffee I almost panicked - ok, I DID panic, but my dad brought me TWO that he tracked down at one of the only open Dunkin' Donuts!!!!), and one lamp! Now that we are back home, and STILL out of school, it is easy to sit back and giggle about the whole thing! The kids handled it quite well, and actually enjoyed the extra time at Grammy and Grampy's and the visit to Grammy Jane/Grammy Bill's house when we went over to bathe! =)
The most amazing part... the kids NEVER asked to watch TV! They kept busy and entertained playing games

, watching the nutcracker dance

and reading books.

They did get a little bored at one point, but Grammy BJ is so creative - she had them playing "toy store and resturant" in no-time!
