Random Fun

Parker is so well trained that he'll do anything for an "alarm". When the alarm goes off, it's time to try sitting on the potty, or time to go inside, or brush his teeth or clean up his trucks, etc. He even agreed to have his picture taken, but only when I set the timer on the camera! If you didn't know, Parker has been against having his picture taken lately, but this timer thing worked wonders this morning! He's a Pavlov dog I guess!
They aren't the best pictures of me, but there are very few good pictures of me!

Sophie, on the other hand, wasn't enjoying picture time at all!

Hehe, I am mother of the year for thinking this is funny!

We started a new routine yesterday. I tortured Parker and deprived him of a nap so he'd go to bed early. All summer long he's been up until at least 9 every night and sleeping until 8:30. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this about my kids (Sophie does it too) but in two weeks when school starts (BOOOOO) that won't fly! Anyway, he went to bed at 7:30!! and was up at 5:00! Oye! I'm not sure where I was going with this...but the next picture is something we don't normally do either - Parker eating breakfast in the living room - he considered this a "treat"!
The look on his face doesn't really say "treat" but he did think it was pretty neat. Notice I put a towel under the seat - so anal!

Later in the day we went to Old Home Days to visit Todd. When I see this sign, I know summer is at a dismal end...
Parker loves this little 4x4 that the fire fighters ride around Old Home Days in. Gerry was nice enough to hang out with Parker while we waited for Todd to come back from a call.

Later in the evening Mem and Pep came by with "The Tractor". Pep fixed it so hopefully we can keep up with the lawn! Using the timer trick, we managed to get Parker to pose for some pictures. I am not sure who was enjoying it more - can you tell??
